Sue Nowicki is the Director of Digital Transformation for Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Mission Systems Engineering Organization. Northrop Grumman is the world’s fourth largest defense contractor. She has over 30 years of experience designing and developing systems for the US military and its allies. Sue’s area of technical expertise is in Air Surveillance and Enemy Weapon simulation systems.
Since joining Northrop Grumman, Susan has held a variety of positions, including leading Northrop’s Advanced Processing Systems team, Director of Engineering for Enemy Weapon Simulation, and Director of Programs for The Combat Training Systems business. In her current position as Director of Digital Transformation, she is responsible integrating digital technology into all areas of the Northrop Grumman engineering design process.
Susan holds bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from State University of NY at Geneseo, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cornell University. She has also completed executive leadership programs at the Wharton School and at Stanford University.
She is very active in the Western NY community and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences and of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Susan lives in Hamburg, N.Y. with her husband Mike, daughters Alyssa and Christina and her two huge Doodles Caymus and Riley.
Susan joined the Dean's Advisory Council in 2013.
