Edward C. Morris, P.E., BS ’73 CSEE, is president of ECM Management Consultants, LLC, and provides strategic planning, capture management, proposal development and presentation support to over 20 8(a) small and large businesses. Prior to establishing his LLC, Ed served as chief operating officer and group construction president of Akima LLC, a $1.2 billion Alaskan firm providing construction, aviation, logistics, facilities management, system engineering, information technology and training sites at over 100 locations. For nearly seven years he served as the president and CEO of Akima Management Services with revenues of $423 million and 4,600 employees. Prior to working with Akima and Akima Management Services, he spent 10 years with SAIC, a large defense contractor as corporate vice president for business development, providing environmental, engineering, energy and chemical demilitarization/CBRN protection services. He also served in multiple positions at Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation for 15 years. He began as an environmental engineer and finished as senior vice president and deputy of the Environmental and Technology Business unit providing a variety of engineering and construction services to governmental, fossil, nuclear, hydropower and process clients. He began his career with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Buffalo District in the water control section with regulatory authority for the Niagara River and St. Lawrence Seaway. He also worked at the Corps' Hydrologic Engineering Center conducting flood plain management, reservoir operations, flood forecasting, and hydropower studies for multiple civil works districts.

Ed is active in the Society for American Military Engineers serving as post president, regional vice president, member of the Senior Executive Group and Fellow. During his career, he taught water resources at UC Davis and Sacramento State University and authored over a dozen technical publications. He also served as an elected official and chair of a planning board in the Town of Norfolk, M.A.

In addition to his undergraduate degree at UB, he has an MSCE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a registered professional engineer in California and Massachusetts.
