Flush with options, this UB engineering student is starting his own consulting practice

An article in Business First features Dan Buckmaster, a master’s degree student studying mechanical engineering in the UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, who is growing his own startup company, an engineer-for-hire service called Tresca Design, which offers mechanical design services to clients that range from startups to established companies.

"I'm a 22-year-old trying to sell myself as a professional service to large established companies – it's not the easiest thing to do," he said. "But once I'm able to sit across from someone and show them the way I work, I'm in the door and they're generally pleased with that."
