Approximately 125 graduate students in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences attended the Distinguished Speakers Panel, “Building a Fulfilling Career vs. Having a Job: An Introspective Look.”

Members of the SEAS Dean’s Advisory Council, Young Alumni Board, UB Engineering and Applied Sciences Alumni Association, Engineering Partners Program and SEAS alumni met with students to provide one-on-one resume reviews.

Kim Helmer, an engineering product line manager at Safran and UB chemical engineering alumna, met with students individually to provide advice on improving their resumes. Safran is a gold level member of the SEAS Engineering Partners Program.

Bob Harrison, vice president of engineering and construction at Transmission Developers, Inc. (a Blackstone Portfolio Company) and UB mechanical engineering alumnus, met with students individually to provide advice on improving their resumes. Harrison is a member of the SEAS Dean’s Advisory Council and MAE Department Advisory Board.

Cynthia Hoover, executive director, adsorption and global hydrogen and CO R&D at Linde (formerly Praxair) and UB chemistry alumna, met with students individually to provide advice on improving their resumes. Hoover is a member of the SEAS Dean’s Advisory Council.

Students had the opportunity to get a free professional portrait photo.

Blackstone LaunchPad and ACV Auctions hosted an Innovation Sprint and awarded prizes to the top three teams.

Davis Hall’s Bansal Atrium and Salvatore Lounge was filled with students, recruiters, industry partners, faculty and staff for the Sixth Career Perspectives and Networking Conference.
