UB's solar water still research gets $1.4M boost from Army

A story in the Niagara Gazette reports on UB spinoff Sunny Clean Water receiving a $1.4 million boost from the U.S. Army.

“The technology could provide drinking water in regions where water is scarce, such as disaster zones or remote areas where infrastructure is sparse,” says Qiaoqiang Gan, professor of electrical engineering, who is helping lead the effort. “Water scarcity is a global challenge,” Gan says.
