Please share your messages with the SEAS class of 2023! Congratulate them with a message!
Congratulatory messages may include notes to the entire class, or students in specific departments. Some suggestions include congratulating the graduating class, wishing them the best, discussing their promising future, etc. Please do not provide messages to individual students.
Please see instructions below on how to upload various material. You will need to provide your email address for each type of submission.

Quote only: Upload a word doc with your quote in the Upload files section. For file description, write "quote." Quote-only submissions will be shared with your UB photo. Save as a word doc and name it as follows: Lastname_Firstname_2023
Photo and Quote: Upload the photo you would like to share, and provide your quote as text in the File description section. The photo and quote you submit will be shared together. Save your photo as a jpg or png, and name it as follows: Lastname_Firstname_2023
Video: Upload your video. Write "video" for the file description. Keep your video message short, 15-30 seconds. Save your video as an MP4 file, and name it as follows: Lastname_Firstname_2023

If you choose to record a video, we do plan to share it widely through our SEAS social media channels.
Keep your message very short – 15-30 seconds tops.
Use a cell phone and in horizontal format. Most phones have better cameras (vs a laptop or tablet).
Wear solid colors. Strong patterns and stripes can be distracting.
Start your video by introducing yourself. Then, when you start recording, hold your shot for a few beats before you start talking.
Don’t read a script. These are short videos, and the more natural you speak, the better it will be.
