The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences is committed to protecting the health and safety of the SEAS community while remaining focused on our academic, research and community service mission. 

Here you'll find the current status of SEAS labs, offices and community spaces, as well as office hours, room capacity limits and more for anyone wishing to connect with a SEAS office or utilize a shared SEAS space. This is not a complete list of SEAS spaces. Information will be added and updated as it becomes available and is subject to change without notice. Please check back frequently.

In addition to the restrictions, notes and instructions below, all SEAS faculty, staff, students and visitors must abide by UB's Health and Safety Guidelines.

Current Campus Status

Research and Teaching Labs

The University at Buffalo's research labs are currently in Phase 2. Only research labs that have been approved for Phase 2 reopening are currently open. Some teaching labs may be available as part of research lab reopening plans. Room capacity limits are subject to change without notice.

Administrative Offices and Other Spaces

For the health and safety of our community, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences has reduced the number of staff working on campus and the occupancy of collaboriative spaces.

Some offices may be working remotely, have limited office hours or alternative schedules. Offices statuses include:

On-campus

Most or all office personnel are working on-campus and working regular office hours.

Remote

Most or all office personnel are working remotely and all services can be accessed online.

Hybrid

Some personnel may be working on-campus for limited days/hours in addition to working remotely.

Centrally Scheduled Classrooms

Classrooms are not included in the list below. Please visit the UB Information Technology website for information regarding centrally scheduled classrooms.
