Education: BA in Psychology and Sociology, Niagara University; MS in Higher Education Administration (Student Personnel), SUNY Buffalo State

Academic Path: I grew up in the city of Buffalo, where I attended BPS #192 Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts as a theater major. After high school, I attended Niagara University, where I completed a double major in psychology and sociology, and a minor in social sciences. I then pursued graduate studies in higher education administration (student personnel) at SUNY Buffalo State. Shortly after graduating, I started my career at UB in 2009 as an admission advisor. Later, I joined the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2016 as an academic advisor.

Specialty Areas: Liaison to EOP, ACE and Ackers, First Year Orientation, Holistic Admissions Review, UB AISES Chapter Advisor

Hobbies and Interests: I love to travel with my family. My son has had his passport since he was one month old! My favorite travel destinations are Hawaii and Costa Rica. I also enjoy genealogy, and can trace my family history back to the early 1800s. On my father’s side, my family is from Akwesasne and I am a proud citizen of the St. Regis Mohawk Nation. On my mother’s side, I am first generation American, my family immigrated to the US from Indonesia and the Netherlands. I also enjoy going to the theater, gardening, high-powered rocketry (Tripoli Level 1 Certified), theme park enthusiast and home projects.
