Event Highlights

The third annual Career Perspectives and Networking Conference (CPNC) was held on Oct. 6, 2016 in Davis Hall’s Bansal Atrium on UB’s north campus.

This annual event provides students with important tools and resources necessary to launch successful careers outside of academics and lab work.

Events included a panel, an open networking session featuring booths for resume writing and LinkedIn photos, and Lightning Talks where students and professionals gave three-minute elevator pitches.

Speakers included Liesl Folks, Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; Sue Nowicki, Director of Engineering at Northrop Gruman Corporation; Karianne Gomez, Vice President of Field Strategy and Customer Experience at Pampered Chef; Dennis Elsenbeck, Regional Executive for National Grid Upstate NY; Ashok Jain, Vice President of Engineering and CTO for Zodiac Aerospace; Mike Sinicropi, Executive Director of Safety and Engineering Services at Praxair; and Bob Harrison, Vice President of Engineering and Construction at Transmission Developers, Inc.

Networking and Resume Critiques
