Since getting involved in the Society of Women Engineers in 2014, Jennifer Winikus’s contributions have included collaboration on committees, various leadership roles and presenting research.
Jennifer Winikus, an assistant professor of teaching in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, co-authored a blog post on All Together with several Society of Women Engineers (SWE) colleagues. They reflected on why advocacy is important, shared personal stories and put forward recommendations for fellow advocates and future Capitol Hill visitors, following their virtual Congressional Visit Day on April 14.
As Chair-Elect, Winikus will help lead the Local Advisory Board, which is the committee that oversees strategic planning for each of the five Women Engineers (WE) Local North American conferences.
