D. Sivakumar received his PhD in Computer Science from SUNY Buffalo in 1996. His research interests include a variety of topics in theoretical computer science, information retrieval and discovery on the Web, measurement and modeling for information systems. He has served on the faculty of CS at the University of Houston; as a research scientist at the IBM Almaden Research Center; at Google Research; and as a Senior Director at Yahoo! Research, where he lead the Metrics group.  He is currently a member of the technical staff at Google.
