UB unveils its second driverless vehicle

WBFO and WIVB  report on a new driverless vehicle under development at UB — a regular Lincoln MKZ that engineering researchers have transformed into a full-fledged autonomous car.

"The reason that we wanted to work on it and understand exactly how an autonomous vehicle works is because we wanted to work on the testing, evaluation and certification of the autonomous vehicle, which currently, there is no national standards," Chunming Qiao, chair of the Computer Science and Engineering Department, told WBFO.
