Emmanuel Nsengiyumva Awarded for His Work in the CBE Department

Emmanuel Nsengiyumva was awarded the 2019 "Excellence in Teaching Award" by UB's Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Emmanuel was also awarded the Western New York Prosperity Fellowship for 2019-2020.

Emmanuel Nsengiyumva is a PhD candidate in the Paschalis Alexandridis group, having earned his BS degree here in 2016. His research has focused on water-soluble polymers involved in the extraction of unconventional oil and gas, and those that can be used in the presence of long salinity water to reduce the use of fresh water.

In 2019, Emmanuel was awarded the "Excellence in Teaching Award" by UB's Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Additionally, Emmanuel has been awarded the Western New York Prosperity Fellowship for a third year (2019-2020).
