Ashlee N. Ford Versypt Chosen for Young Alumni Achievement Award

The Young Alumni Achievement Award honors ChBE graduates of the University of Illinois from the past fifteen years for their outstanding professional and technical achievements, dedication to the department, and service to society.

Associate Professor Ford Versypt graduated with a PhD in Chemical Engineering, along with a Graduate Option in Computational Science & Engineering in 2012.

At the University at Buffalo Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, she leads the Systems Biomedicine and Pharmaceutics Laboratory. The long-term goal for her research program is to develop multiscale mathematical and computational models to enhance understanding of the mechanisms governing tissue remodeling and damage as a result of diseases and infections, and to simulate the treatment of those conditions to improve human health.
