Congratulations to Marlo Roetzer, UB CBE's undergraduate academic coordinator, for her election onto the Executive Committee of the Professional Staff Senate (PSS) at UB into the Academics area. This Executive Committee serves as a Board of Directors for the PSS, representing the different interests and concerns of the professional staff of the university.
Roetzer received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University at Buffalo in 2003, her Master of Science in Education in Literacy from Canisius College in 2006, and her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from UB in 2014. She began her professional journey teaching high school students and during that time she discovered her interest was focused more on the college experience. She began as Academic Coordinator in 2011 . During her time at the university, she has taught first year student seminars, served as an International Student Mentor, and reviewed over 600 SEAS scholarship applications. In addition, she was elected as a Senator for the UB Professional Staff Senate in 2019 and has remained in this role for the last five years. In this position she has organized events and networking opportunities to introduce new staff to committee leaders, senators, and provide information about the PSS and how to get involved at UB.
