WIVB-TV quotes UB researchers Matthew Bolton and Scott Eardley about Bolton’s research to develop a tool that prevents hospital alarm masking.
“You can have multiple sounds coming into the human ear at any given time and our ear can only encode a certain amount of information at any given frequency,” said Bolton, assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.
