Graduate Education

UB ISE prides itself on excellence in graduate education. We are a highly ranked program with research active faculty and energetic students from countries around the world, including the U.S., India, Iran, China, Turkey, Bangladesh, Columbia, Argentina and more. Faculty members work closely with graduate students on PhD and MS research. Our students go on to excellent jobs in industry, academia and government—across the U.S. and worldwide.

We offer graduate research degrees—a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Science (MS)—in the ISE areas of Operations Research, Human Factors and Production/Manufacturing Systems. We also offer a course-based MS degree in ISE perfect for students who want to apply their ISE degree to an industrial setting, and offer one of the only graduate programs in Data and Information Fusion (available as online degree).

Certificate programs in Occupational Health and Six Sigma are also available, and many students complete summer internships with U.S. companies.
