A new vaccine for pneumonia?

UB's Blaine Pfeifer talks to New Atlas and other outlets about a new vaccine under development for pnemonia. New Atlas reports that the vaccine could save lives by targeting dozens of strains of pneumonia not covered by current immunizations. "We've made tremendous progress fighting the spread of pneumonia, especially among children. But if we're ever going to rid ourselves of the disease, we need to create smarter and more cost-effective vaccines," said Pfeifer, a professor of chemical and biological engineering.
