Kemper Lewis, professor and chair of mechanical and aerospace engineering, was interviewed by WBEN-AM about the basics behind 3-D printing following the release of plans that would allow people to 3-D print their own AR-15 guns.

"Personal use is growing. You can get these cheap, we're talking hundreds of dollars as opposed to thousands. Companies are investing in dramatic ways because they can make parts at quality much cheaper," he said.
