Could a wristband detect cancer? UB researchers are working on it.

An article reports on research by Josep Jornet, assistant professor of electrical engineering in the UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, to develop technology that combines implantable sensors, a wearable device and software to better identify and monitor such conditions such a lung cancer.

"It's a huge opportunity," he said. "We have a much better chance of treating cancer if we can detect it early before a tumor develops."
