Articles in the Buffalo News and Business First report Parham Rohani, a doctoral student in chemical and biological engineering, and S. Bruce Kohrn, a business strategist, are the first-place winners of this year’s Panasci Technology Entrepreneurship Competition for their startup, NanoHydroChem, which focuses on hydrogen fuel cell technology.

A team led by a UB doctoral student took first place in UB’s Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition for a technology that generates hydrogen gas from water.

The finals of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition are happening this week, and four doctoral students from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences are among the 12 students who will pitch their research to a panel of judges and the audience.

Graduate students throughout CSEE participated in this year's poster competition on Friday, March 31. The competition allowed students to showcase several research projects.

Air & Space Smithsonian magazine ran an article about UB’s Nanosat Lab, in which 100 UB engineering students build satellites for the Air Force’s University Nanosat Program.

“Know that if you do good work, you will be helping someone somewhere in the world,” were some of the words of wisdom Ashish Shah (PhD ’93, MS ’89, Electrical Engineering) shared with students and fellow alumni during the annual Engineering Celebrations event.
