Orientation for UB Engineering Graduate Students

Mandatory orientation for all SEAS graduate students

August 26 | 2:00 - 6:00 | Center for the Arts

Orientation for all new graduate students in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences will be held on August 26, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 pm in the Center for the Arts. Advance registration is required.

Department orientation sessions for SEAS graduate students

A separate orientation is organized by the home departments. Information is presented regarding academic policies and procedures, student life and the advisement/class registration procedure.The department orientations are scheduled as follows:

Tuesday, August 23

Electrical Engineering: 10:00 am | 101 Davis

Wednesday, August 24

Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering: 1:00 pm | 101 Davis

Thursday, August 25

Industrial Engineering: 10:00 am | 107 Talbert

Biomedical Engineering: 10:00 am | 414 Bonner

Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering: 11:00 am | 101 Davis

Chemical and Biological Engineering: 1:00 pm | 206 Furnas

Friday August 26

Computer Science and Engineering: 9:00 am | 325 Natural Sciences Complex


Orientation for International Students

All new international students participate in an orientation by the International Student and Scholar Services office. This event is held prior to the new graduate student orientation in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. It is usually held the week before classes begin.
