Established in 2011 by Lisa R. Shames and Bruce Shames in honor of their father, SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor Irving H. Shames. Must demonstrate excellence in the study of statics which was taught by the late Professor Shames. Must demonstrate financial need; domestic students complete the FAFSA and international students submit a financial need statement in the general application. Recipient must be nominated by faculty teaching EAS 207.
