Matthew R. Grappone Scholarship

This scholarship was established through generous gifts from the family and friends of Matthew Grappone (BS AE & ME ’97), and maintained through gifts from Frances Cecere and Roy Carter. Matthew passed away prematurely at the age of 30. During his time at UB, Matthew was employed at Computer Information Technology (CIT). The aim of the scholarship is to help in the educational pursuits of individuals in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences by awarding annual scholarships, with consideration being given to students who work for CIT.

  • Deserving student, with consideration being given to students who work for CIT.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate students in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
  • Successful student will be required to write a thank you letter to the donor.

  • Recommendation: Letter of recommendation from faculty member is required.
  • Deadline: October 25

  • Scholarship recipient will be chosen by a faculty/staff committee.
