What did serving as a Student Leader mean to you? What motivated you to participate?
It was a really excellent foray into teaching and 'soft' leadership. In the long run, I have been able to continually reference the skills and experiences from the position in my career pursuits. I imagine I was initially motivated by searching for teaching experiences and perhaps a lure of beer money.

A memory that remains with me from my Student Leader days is:
The things that stand out from these days were the conversations that went beyond the assignments, and opportunities for mentorship (around career, discipline selection, summer internships, etc.). The relationships formed were invaluable. In fact, I went on to work with one of my mentees on restoring a old motorcycle a couple years later.

Any leaders you'd like to shout-out to?
I think Dan Snitzer originally encouraged me to be a Student Leader, so thanks for that!
