Education:

• BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics, University at Buffalo
• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Cornell University

Academic Path: An early interest in math and chemistry led me to study chemical engineering. While I was an undergraduate, I discovered a passion for scientific research, which led me to pursue graduate studies. After joining the faculty at UB, I got involved in various activities related to undergraduate education. I then had the pleasure of serving as the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the chemical engineering program. This experience then led to an opportunity to serve as the SEAS Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education. I very much appreciate the opportunity to engage with a broad range of faculty and staff on projects aimed at improving the SEAS undergraduate experience. Our students are incredibly talented, creative, and hardworking, and it is a pleasure to work with them.

Hobbies and Interests:  I enjoy family time with my wife and two daughters. I play ice hockey in an adult league and regularly run. I also enjoy hiking. movies, and the occasional home improvement project.
