Education: BS in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, SUNY Brockport; EdM in College Counseling and Student Personnel, University at Buffalo; PhD in Higher Education Administration, University at Buffalo

Academic Path: I have been interested in supporting students in their higher education journeys ever since my time as an undergraduate when I served as a resident advisor and worked as a career assistant. To follow this interest, I pursued a master's degree at UB and took on an assistantship in Student Affairs. After graduating I ventured to a college out of state to embark on my professional career as a career counselor.  After gaining valuable experience, I returned to UB and transitioned into academic advising. I pursued and completed my doctorate a few years later.  After 12 years of professional work experience, I became the assistant dean for undergraduate education in SEAS and 18 years later advanced to senior assistant dean for undergraduate advisement.

Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also like to travel to my son’s track and field meets.
