EngiNet - A Distance Education Program

EngiNet, the school's distance education office, offers a variety of off-site learning opportunities.

Whether you are a busy professional looking to supplement your education, an engineer/scientist looking to pursue graduate studies or a company looking to improve your workforce, EngiNet has something for you.

Course List and Description  


EngiNet courses do NOT use the HUB Student Center via MyUB for registration. Procedures are as follows:

Current UB students

All EngiNet students are required to return three forms to the EngiNet office.

To be assured that any course you take will count toward a degree program, prior to registration please speak to your engineering department advisor.

Non-UB students

Non-UB students must first apply online. Forms are available through the departments, or through the Graduate Application site (GrAdMIT).  

Do not fill out the GrAdMIT form if you are a current UB graduate student.

New York State Education Department regulations

In accordance with New York State Education Department (SED) regulations, the percentage of courses taken through distance education must be less than 50% of a graduate student’s degree requirements.

The exception is the M.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering.
