Three students in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering (CSEE) at UB have won scholarships from the Association of Bridge Construction and Design, Western New York Chapter.


Concrete beam designed by civil engineering students scores highly in structural efficiency, earning UB first place in the International UHPC-Beam Competition.

The University at Buffalo’s American Society of Civil Engineers (UB-ASCE) Student Chapter continues to rank as one of the highest performing teams in the National Student Steel Bridge Competition (NSSBC), bringing home fifth place overall in the 2016 competition.
Three undergraduate students in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering and one undergraduate student in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering have been awarded scholarships from member firms of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York).

Connor Brown is the recipient of the 2016 SLICE (Sustainability Leadership, Innovation and Collaborative Engagement) student award, given by UB’s Office of Sustainability.
