report Parham Rohani, a doctoral student in chemical and biological
engineering, and S. Bruce Kohrn, a business strategist, are the
first-place winners of this year’s Panasci Technology
Entrepreneurship Competition for their startup, NanoHydroChem,
which focuses on hydrogen fuel cell technology.
The finals of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition are
happening this week, and four doctoral students from the School of
Engineering and Applied Sciences are among the 12 students who will
pitch their research to a panel of judges and the audience.
“Know that if you do good work, you will be helping
someone somewhere in the world,” were some of the words of
wisdom Ashish Shah (PhD ’93, MS ’89, Electrical
Engineering) shared with students and fellow alumni during the
annual Engineering Celebrations event.
