Electrical Engineering Faculty Positions, University at Buffalo SUNY

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, is inviting applications at all professorial levels (tenure-track and tenured) for multiple positions . Excellent candidates in all areas will be considered but areas of particular interest include:

(1) Digital Embedded/Reconfigurable Circuits and Systems;

(2) Energy Systems;

(3) Communications, Networking, and Signal Processing.

Successful candidates are expected to establish a strong research program, demonstrate commitment to collaboration with the research groups in the Department, and teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate level, while promoting a climate that values diversity in all its forms. We are particularly looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a diverse community of students and faculty, and share our vision of helping all constituents reach their full potential. 

The Department of Electrical Engineering recently moved to a new green building with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and academic spaces designed to support collaboration among faculty and student groups within the department, across the university, and with other institutions. The Department of Electrical Engineering has vibrant research programs in electronics, optics, and photonics, communications, networking, and signal processing and energy systems. Particular areas of excellence include cognitive networks, underwater communications, big data and machine learning, nanophotonic and nanoelectronic materials and devices, THz electronics and communications, connected and autonomous vehicles, metamaterials and structured light, singular optics, graphene enabled nanonetworks, smart grids and power electronics. Interdisciplinary work is strongly supported and encouraged.
