Leslie Ying Named Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Journal

Professor Ying is a recognized leader in the field of MRI imaging and her appointment to this prestigious position reflects the wide respect with which she is held by her peers. 

Leslie Ying received her B. Eng. in Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University, China in 1997 and both her M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign in 1999 and 2003, respectively. Her research interests include magnetic resonance imaging, compressed sensing, and image reconstruction. She received a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation in 2009, and was elected as an AdCom member of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society in 2012. She is a Deputy Editor of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and a senior member of IEEE.
