Hackathons are in our DNA... Spending an overcaffeinated all-nighter with a team of friends developing a cool project is an essential part of the CSE experience.
A new annual tradition was born when the UB ACM chapter inaugurated UB Hacking, "an event where small teams of programmers come together to design, develop, and demo a software project in a short amount of time," said inaugural 2012 UB Hacking Co-Organizer Nick Di Rienzo (CS BS '15). "UB Hacking is bringing together the coders of the University at Buffalo, no matter their major, for 26 hours of food, fun, coding, and prizes!"
The first UB Hacking was sponsored by Rackspace, Github, Synacor, Iron.io, Google, the CSE Department, and the UB Center for Computational Research.
