Buffalo is a historic city on the rise with one of the fastest-growing economies in the nation. Listed by Travel + Leisure magazine as America’s Favorite City and ranked one of the best cities in which to attend college, Buffalo is beloved by UB students for its fantastic culture and memorable people. Bonus: we’re in the perfect location. By bus, train, car or air, you’re less than 90 minutes from cities like New York, Toronto, D.C. and Philly.
In a city as diverse as Buffalo, you can always find something fun to do, whether it's taking a leisurely walk in one of our glorious Olmsted-designed parks or taking in a thought-provoking work of art at dozens of art galleries.
The Emerging Topics in Computing (ETC) symposium will cover topics in computer science and engineering, information technology and cutting-edge computing applications in academia and industries. In 2013, IEEE Computer Society launched a new transaction on emerging topics in computing which covers topics such as enterprise computing systems, computational networks, hardware and embedded system security, high performance computing, next generation wireless computing systems, Internet of Things (IoT), and new hardware for computing. This symposium will examine some of the recent developments in this area and start a new dialog between academia and industries.
