United Kingdom: Cambridge Undergraduate Scholars Program

Summer

University of Cambridge.

The annual Cambridge Undergraduate Scholars Program (CUSP) is conducted under collaboration with the University of Cambridge in England. The program is conducted under the leadership of Dr. Satpal Singh from the UB Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He has trained well over a hundred undergraduate students in research in his laboratory at UB, and has been awarded the President Emeritus and Mrs. Meyerson Award for Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching and Mentoring. He will coordinate with the host laboratories at the above institutions to enhance the students’ research experience, and will participate in their mentoring during their stay there.

Under the program, we take selected UB students to Cambridge. Each of these students conducts research in the laboratory of a University of Cambridge professor for 10 weeks. Cambridge professors and the UB students are both involved in finalizing individual lab assignments.
