Performance times are: Wednesday-Saturday at 7:30pm; Sunday at 2:00pm. All performances will be held in the Drama Theatre in the Center for the Arts, North Campus. A Midsummer Night’s Dream
recounts the adventures of four young lovers and a group of amateur actors and their interactions with woodland fairies, a duke and a duchess. Taking place in a mythical Athens and an enchanted forest, there is a handsome fairy king, a misguided parent, star-crossed lovers, a weaver who’s transformed into a half-donkey, wood sprites and elves. William Shakespeare’s most popular comedy, and no wonder – it’s about the world’s most popular pastime, falling in love. But as Puck knows, falling in love can make fools of us all.

The cast for A Midsummer Night’s Dream is comprised of students from the UB Department of Theatre & Dance and features Jes Tokarski, Gianna Palermo, Ernest Schieferstein, Amanda Borowski, Meghan Lavis, Ashley Moulin, Jordan Rosas, Devon Bath, Jacob Craven, Poorvi Nair, Joseph Isgar, Julia Krieter, Jessica Alexander, Jessica Miller, Emma English, Jessica Steinbach, Jacqueline Libby, and Francesca Harvey.

The UB Department of Theatre & Dance 2016-17 season takes inspiration from one of the five named UB 2020 themes, Humanity. This production is part of "Buffalo Bard 2016: 400 Years Since Shakespeare."
