Michael Astrella

Michael is a structural engineer with Thornton Tomasetti in New York, NY. He has been a part of design teams for small and large projects involving new and retrofit construction, and has designed steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structural systems.

I am continually impressed by how well I am prepared for what I do from day-to-day, even in areas like timber and masonry design, in which I never had formal training.
