TINKER is a unique, student-run engineering camp for high school girls designed to expose girls to the different disciplines of engineering while debunking the common misconceptions that prevent women from considering an engineering career.
Students are mentored by professional women engineers, faculty, and students - as well as work in teams with other participants.
The week begins with a one-hour orientation, and concludes with a dinner banquet. Parents/guardians are invited to the banquet, and students will have the opportunity to present about their experience at TINKER.
No engineering experience required!
TINKER is a summer engineering camp for incoming high schools girls (i.e., 9th-12th grade students), typically held in August on UB's North Campus in Davis Hall.
