Blackstone LaunchPad is currently seeking BLASERs for Fall 2018! To highlight the program, we're featuring some of our BLASER success stories from the Spring 2018 cohort.

Juliana Sottnik is a sociology major who joined the BLASERs program because she was interested in learning more about entrepreneurship. Throughout the program, she has learned about the mindset of an entrepreneur and gained experience with teamwork. She thinks that the BLASERs program is an excellent resume... builder and something that has given her a better sense of what she wants to do with her future career. She also mentioned that the things she learned through this experience will stay with her regardless of what career she chooses. During her time as a BLASER, she helped coordinate a
"Girls Get I.T." event where young girls were introduced to the concept of entrepreneurship in tech fields.

In her words: “The BLASERs program taught me that entrepreneurship isn’t just about business or making money-- it’s about empowering yourself and others.”

Blackstone LaunchPad is currently seeking BLASERs for Fall 2018! To highlight the program, we're featuring some of our BLASER success stories from the Spring 2018 cohort.

Lyon Lascu is a business administration major at UB with an intended concentration in marketing. He joined the BLASERs program because he had been to several Blackstone events and wanted to become more involved, and because he saw the program as a good opportunity to obtain an internship on campus. Through ...the BLASERs program, he has gained experience working in a professional setting as well as creating and coordinating events. In fact, Lascu partnered with Blackstone to create and market a successful Blockchain workshop. He also began a business proposal to create a student-run coffee shop on campus.

In his words: “The BLASERs program taught me how to coordinate with others professionally and turn my ideas into a reality.”

Yadelli Ule joined the BLASERs program because she enjoys the idea of entrepreneurship and sees it as a way of life more than a career path. She feels that she has gained social and personal skills from the program and has improved her ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Through the BLASERs program..., Ule has been able to meet a variety of new individuals as well as reconnect with former professors through events. She recently created a "STEM Meets Business" networking event for STEM and Business majors because she noticed that they frequently overlap and work together.

In her own words: "I’ve learned at Blackstone that entrepreneurship is a way of life- you can be an entrepreneur in everything that you do."
