My wife and I really enjoy Proof, they have some fantastic shows there, and the staff has always been very nice. I do have a couple of suggestions though, and I hope someone from PRL will read this, and perhaps implement them. First, I buy VIP tickets whenever I can, so I am usually on the rail in front of the stage, and the audio there is hollow. A center channel speaker, would go a long way in letting us VIP’s up in the front, hear the music, like it needs to be heard. I’m ...a musician and a sound guy, so maybe I’m just picky, but flying one monitor overhead, aimed down at the fenced area, would be all it would take. Second thing I would like to see, is a tarp overhead and/or a couple Portacool units for these great summer shows. One of the bands coming up, is a daytime show that starts at 1:00pm. Call me old, but I’m over 50 and just cannot stand out there and have a good time in 100+ degree heat. I think the show attendance will rise, if any of these things are implemented, I know we would come more often, and we drive 50 miles each way to get there! To wrap this up, the wife & I love PRL, and have made friends with new people, every time we go there. Thank you PRL and to Blackhorse Limo, for the great entertainment, great service, and great atmosphere.
The place if fine for the free national bands. I have scene better stage lighting in some kids garage. The sound was fine. Beer price was good. Biggest joke is the mens room. There is only one for 1000 dudes. There are 4 urinals and they are only 3 inches apart from each other so basically one or two are useless. I've never seen so many people in disbelief by that set up. It's free though for the bands.
Ive been to two shows and I love this venue. The employees are great and the setup is outstanding. I could probably find something to moan about but it would be petty at best. I will be visiting this place often and I recommend it to anybody that loves a good place to drink and great music.
This is an awesome venue with an amazing sound system! The environment is very relaxing in the lounge area. Staff was awesome during the event. Great place!
I wrote the above review last time I attended a show at Proof. I really do like the place. However, last Thursday night at the Winger show the guy working the stage was a douchebag with no fan etiquette! A member of Winger's crew handed me a set list, and because my hands were so cold I accidentally dropped it over the ra...iling at the stage. I asked the guy working the stage if he would get it for me, and he picked it up and gave it to someone else in the crowd despite my protestations! I kept telling him it was mine, but he blatantly ignored me! Naturally I got angry, and he thought it was hilarious which pissed me off even more! It was a dick move what he did to me, and I hope no other staff treat me like crap again! Bring back Cornbread to work the stage! He's the kind of person you want interacting with the fans! Not the asshat who was working Thursday night!
Also thank you so much to staff member John who was really nice to me. When I was about to leave he found a set list on the ground, and gave it to me. Much respect man!
I will come back for shows, but I hope I am never treated again like I was Thursday night!
I saw the Iron Maidens perform last night and had an awesome time. Only complaint is the mens restroom is way too small. Kudos to the bartender who called me a cab so I could get back to the hotel as my phone was dead. Didn't catch his name but he was manning the little Tiki type bar around the corner from the resttoom. Much appreciated!
