The Electrical Engineering (EE) Cleanroom is among the most advanced in Western New York, allowing for electronic device research, processing and development, including study and fabrication of nanodevices. 

Completed in 2012, the EE Cleanroom offers cost-effective access to:

  • Class 1000 space
  • Class 100 space in laminar flow fume hoods
  • Seven bays of research space

The EE Cleanroom is available for shared use by:

Located at UB’s North Campus (Amherst, NY), the electrical engineering cleanroom is a brand new (2012), state-of-the-art facility that is among the most advanced of its kind in Western New York. It features class 1000 and class 100 space, as well as a "vibration-free" environment.

Location

The 5,000-square-foot EE Cleanroom is located in 114 Davis Hall on UB's North Campus in Amherst, NY and is part of UB's Shared Instrumentation Laboratories initiative.
