The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences supports a number of global partnerships and programs that benefit our students—including study abroad experiences, international exchanges and a dual diploma program.
With study abroad and exchange opportunities in approximately 30 countries, UB students can gain valuable international engineering experience while continuing to make progress toward their degrees.
Many study abroad courses are eligible for UB credit and UB tuition. Many are also are taught in English. Students can take classes that count towards the UB Curriculum with the International Experience Track of the Global Pathway, or take engineering classes with a global perspective.
The following programs are some of the most popular study abroad programs among SEAS students.
The University at Buffalo partnered with Istanbul Technical University in 2003 to implement a dual diploma program offering an undergraduate degree in civil engineering.
The dual diploma program offers students a highly unique experience and prepares them for the increasingly global world. Turkish students study at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) for their freshman and junior years and at the University at Buffalo (UB) for their sophomore and senior years. Upon completion of the degree, students receive a diploma from each university.
