What's New in Version 84.0
Thanks for using Pages Manager! To make the app better for you, we bring updates to the App Store regularly. Every update of our app includes improvements for speed and reliability. As other new features become available, we will highlight those for you in the app.
I have only just recently started to use this app after creating a page for my small Pet Sitting business. So far the only issue I have is that the notifications don't work properly. You get the initial notification for a message, like, or comment. Then a few minutes later you get the same notification for the same message, like, or comment that you've either already seen and/or responded to. Now after some of the supposed updates to fix some of the problems, this issues is even worse! Now it won’t notify me at all! If I don’t allow this app to run in the background it won’t notify me to any messages received from potential and returning clients. It makes me look like a bad business woman when I don’t respond until 24hrs later.
It's really disappointing to not have a great and easy app for your Facebook page, especially when this is about the easiest way to stay in contact with my clients and potential new clients as well.
Make it stop
You would think a company like Facebook, that spends millions of dollars a year to acquire and keep customers, would worry more about improving an app. The Facebook pages app is barely functional- I constantly get notifications that I have already checked and when I go back to click on them to make the notification disappear it just tells me I have more notifications. It's also a hell hole for organization, one notification may say 3 people liked a status then you get a separate notification for another 4 people liking the status and then those notifications sit for days and you can't get them to go away. It makes it extremely difficult to manage a page and keep up with fans and constantly push content when Facebook seems to be doing everything in their power to screw it up
This app does a reasonable job of keeping me apprised of activity on the pages I manage, but the notification system is awful. Notifications are difficult to clear as having been read or dismissed and the only way to get rid of a Pages Manager generated notification to boost a post is to click on it, then it harasses you with new notifications to finish boosting a post.
Let’s be clear. No one needs to be prompted to boost a post. Boosted posts are always designed to be boosted. We know how to do that.
I only put up with this app because managing Facebook pages on a mobile device is important to my business, otherwise I would uninstall it and write it off as unworkable garbage.
